Real Madrid Transfer News: Latest James Rodriguez and Isco Rumours
Real Madrid star James Rodriguez reportedly rejected the opportunity to join Inter Milan after the Italian club lodged an €85 million (£73 million) deadline-day offer for the winger. Meanwhile, Isco is said to be "determined" to leave Los Blancos.
Sports Illustrated reported Inter submitted the massive, last-ditch offer to sign Rodriguez, but he opted to remain at the Santiago Bernabeu and fight for his place under manager Zinedine Zidane.

The news fell after a difficult term in Spain's capital, where Rodriguez scored eight goals and made 10 assists. However, he managed to start just 21 times across all competitions and played the full 90 minutes on only eight occasions.
Rodriguez is yet to start a game under Zidane this season and has played just 34 minutes in LaLiga, but Squawka testified to the Colombia international at least making the most of his time on the pitch:
It's well-founded that the presence of Gareth Bale and Cristiano Ronaldo has prevented Rodriguez from nailing down a place in the starting XI, and it doesn't seem likely that trend will change anytime soon.
Rodriguez's agent, Jorge Mendes, was approached regarding his client's future at Real toward the end of the transfer window, but he was never in doubt on the situation, per Yahoo's Andrew Gaffney:
Manchester United have also been fiercely linked with a move for the South American, and the Sun's James Orr reported Red Devils manager Jose Mourinho is ready to offer the trickster a "major role" at Old Trafford.
Elsewhere, Spanish daily Sport (h/t Jack Otway of the Daily Express) reported Isco is looking to leave Real this winter, and Tottenham Hotspur may be willing to accommodate his Madrid exit.

The Spain international has played just 17 minutes of LaLiga football this season, and it appears as though his tenure with the reigning European champions could be winding to a close.
ESPN FC's Dermot Corrigan highlighted just how far down the midfield pecking order Isco now sits, having become somewhat lost among Real's star-studded cast of playmakers:
Rodriguez is just one of the names who sits in front of Isco in Real's hierarchy, while the likes of Mateo Kovacic, Marco Asensio and Casemiro might also be considered closer to the starting XI.
Tottenham were understood to be interested in a deadline-day loan offer for Isco, but the midfielder's apparent wish to leave Real after three-and-a-half years could help their bid to land the former Malaga maestro.
