"A blood test performed on the wideout concluded that Brown has sickle cell trait, which the team believes has caused some of his injury problems," according to Jordan Heck of Sporting News.
Brown Is a Vital Part of Cardinals Offense
The third-year man was looking to build on his solid sophomore campaign that saw him put up 1,003 receiving yards and seven touchdowns as the second option in Arizona's vaunted passing attack behind Larry Fitzgerald.
Adding Michael Floyd to the mix, the top three Cardinals receivers combined for 3,067 receiving yards in 2015.
With quarterback Carson Palmer at the helm, Brown carved his niche in Arizona's offense as a mid- and deep-range threat, thanks to his speed, via the NFL:
