Latest on Cook's Practice Status

The Packers announced Cook was limited in practice on Friday for the third straight day.

Latest on Cook's Recovery Timeline

Tuesday, Sept. 27

Ian Rapoport of NFL Network tweeted on Sept. 27, "Cook suffered a high ankle sprain in the team's win, source said. It's pretty swollen and could cause him to miss time."

Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reported on Sept. 26 that, although Cook was seen wearing a protective boot and walking on crutches following the Lions game, he is not expected to miss the remainder of the season. Demovsky, citing a source, reported Cook "is expected to miss some time after this week's bye, but the team is still trying to determine whether Cook will miss only a game or multiple games."

Cook Has Yet to Make an Impact with Packers

After spending the previous three seasons with the then-St. Louis Rams, Cook signed a one-year deal with the Packers in March. His time in Green Bay didn't get off to a great start after he underwent foot surgery in June and missed a chunk of the team's offseason practices.

Although he isn't one of the league's elite tight ends, Cook showed himself to be a capable pass-catcher during his time with the Rams and Tennessee Titans. Between 2010 and 2015, he averaged 44 receptions, 572 yards and a little less than three touchdowns per season.

Through three games with the Packers in 2016, Cook has six receptions for 53 yards and zero touchdowns.
