NCAA Softball Championship 2016: Super Regionals Results, World Series Schedule
With the Super Regionals nearly wrapped up, only eight teams will remain alive in the 2016 NCAA Women's College World Series following the conclusion of Sunday's play.
The SEC leads with four representatives. A team from the conference has won three of the last five tournaments, but the two-time defending champion Florida Gators will not be around to attempt a three-peat this year.

Fresh off a wild four-run rally to down Missouri 5-4 on Sunday, Michigan enters as the highest-ranked school still playing at No. 2, per NCAA.com.
The Wolverines will have plenty of momentum going into Oklahoma City. Head coach Carol Hutchins, who is in her 32nd year with the program, thought the rally was historic, per the team's Twitter account:
""That was one of the best games in Michigan softball history. Unbelievable." - @UMCoachHutch #D1softball #GoBlue pic.twitter.com/y8ASURLTln
— Michigan Softball (@umichsoftball) May 29, 2016"
Michigan was the national runner-up a year ago, so there will be plenty of motivation to get back to the championship series.
Georgia is another team that will be feeling confident. The Bulldogs knocked off Florida, the tournament's top seed, to land in the final eight.
The Gators were dominant heading into their Super Regional, per ESPN Stats & Info:
Even more impressive was the fashion in which Georgia clinched its trip to Oklahoma City, courtesy of ESPNU:
Georgia, Michigan, Oklahoma and Oregon all rank within the top five nationally in team batting average, while the Wolverines are No. 1 in the country in on-base percentage.
Oregon (No. 1) and Michigan (No. 3) are also nationally elite in slugging percentage. The Wolverines will be able to score runs, but they can also keep their opponents from scoring. The team is 10th overall in team ERA, which ranks behind only LSU (No. 5) among teams still playing. As for the Ducks, they will be on the outside looking in after losing to UCLA.
Hutchins' squad seems to have it all. It is explosive offensively while sporting one of college softball's top pitching staffs. Factor in its experience and last season's disappointing end, and Michigan looks like the favorite to win its second national championship.
