NBA Betting Preview: Oklahoma City Thunder vs. San Antonio Spurs Game 5 Odds
The first four games of this second-round playoff series in the Western Conference between the San Antonio Spurs and the Oklahoma City Thunder have been unpredictable, to say the least.
That is, unless you predicted the Spurs would win the odd-numbered games with the Thunder taking the others.
In hopes of taking a 3-2 series lead, San Antonio is appropriately listed as a consensus seven-point home favorite for Game 5 on Tuesday at sportsbooks monitored by Odds Shark.

After the Spurs blew out Oklahoma City 124-92 as a 6.5-point home favorite in Game 1, the Thunder rebounded nicely in Game 2 with a 98-97 victory as a 7.5-point underdog on the NBA betting lines.
San Antonio was favored for the third straight time in the series in Game 3 and responded with a 100-96 win as 2.5-point road chalk before falling 111-97 as two-point underdogs in Game 4. Oklahoma City’s Kevin Durant was the star of the latest meeting between the teams Sunday with a series-high 41 points on 14-of-25 shooting.
Durant has shot 56.5 percent from the field in the last three games following a 6-of-15 performance that led to a playoff-low 16 points in Game 1. He is still averaging 27.8 points in the series, which is almost one point higher than what he scored versus San Antonio in three regular-season games.
Teammate Russell Westbrook has not been nearly as good in this series, shooting only 33 percent and averaging 22 points.
For the Spurs, Kawhi Leonard has been the difference in both of their wins, averaging 28.0 points compared to 17.5 per game in the two losses. Leonard has also been responsible for guarding Durant throughout the series, and that has hurt him offensively at times, as he has shot 37.8 percent (14-of-37) in the losses, going 0-for-7 from three-point range. Regardless, he remains the best two-way player for either team.
The totals in this series have been as unpredictable as the winners. The over cashed in Games 1 and 4, while the total went under in Games 2 and 3. Dating back to the regular season, the under has gone 5-2 in the past seven meetings after a 4-1 over run, according to the Odds Shark NBA Database.
