WWE Rumors: Examining Latest Buzz Around Undertaker, Jack Swagger and More
Picking apart the newest round of WWE rumors reminds one not to panic.
The Undertaker pulled out of the European tour, but that doesn't mean he's retiring. And Jack Swagger didn't announce his time with WWE was done via a tweet.
It's a testament to Undertaker's popularity that even though he hasn't appeared on WWE TV since WrestleMania he remains a hot topic online. Speculation about his future refuses to go away. The fact that The Deadman will not join the rest of the WWE roster in Europe only increased that.

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
While it may be a surprising reason to do so, one report did explain why Undertaker reportedly chose to cancel his trip abroad.
As for Swagger, the little-seen Superstar seems to have unintentionally made fans believe his career was done. That looks to just be a case of miscommunication and the audience's reading too much into things.
Other rumors suggest that Bray Wyatt isn't hurt as badly as many thought, while Lilian Garcia apparently got into an off-screen verbal smackdown over something trivial.
Wyatt Injury Update
When The Eater of Worlds first hurt his calf, WWE announced the injury but didn't confirm its severity. There has been no official word on how long he will be out.
Dave Meltzer, however, dug up some info. Meltzer reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter (h/t Cageside Seats) that Wyatt suffered a pulled muscle and will be out four-to-six weeks, which wasn't as bad as initially thought.
If Wyatt was going to be out longer, it would make sense for WWE to inform its audience. With him likely just missing about a month, the company could be looking to avoid placing attention on the injury and allowing him to make a surprise return.

Erick Rowan and Braun Strowman will be happy when that time frame is up. The two big men haven't been on TV since Wyatt got hurt.
Tense Moment at Ringside?
Colin Cassady may have been at the center of a heated argument.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter (h/t Wrestling Inc) reported that Garcia announced Cassady's full name before a match last Monday, which resulted in a shouting match afterward. She was apparently not supposed to announce him that way, but instead as Big Cass.
If true, this has to be one of the oddest stories of the year.
It's fine if WWE wants to transition Cassady into just Big Cass, but Garcia's use of his full name is not worthy of a reprimand. It's not as if she called Ryback, "Skip Sheffield." And why can't the company just use both names interchangeably?
WWE's insistence on shortening names is odd. Big E didn't gain any extra momentum because he dropped "Langston" from his name. And is Cesaro's career any better for having left "Antonio" behind?
Swagger Not Done
The All-American American may not get on Raw anymore, but he's not done with WWE, as some speculated after a recent tweet.
Swagger posted a photo while on the company's European tour. The "last day" part of the caption sparked discussion aplenty:
But Swagger wasn't saying anything about his WWE status at all. Ryan Satin of Pro Wrestling Sheet reported, "Sources tell us his 'last day' tweet on Saturday was simply referring to their current European tour."
It was in fact the last day of the tour for Swagger. According to CageMatch.net, he wrestled Rusev on April 23 in Glasgow, Scotland.
This story is a reminder how quickly "news" can spread. A great number of fans were buzzing about a supposed farewell message that was really something far more mundane.
Potential Explanation for Undertaker's Absence
For weeks, reports had Undertaker on the European tour and then off again. Eventually, he didn't go.
That in itself isn't exactly news. It's understandable that he would want to rest his banged-up body. A different motivation to stay home has emerged, however.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter (h/t Wrestle Zone), word is that Undertaker decided not to work the European tour because of the recent terrorist attacks in Belgium and France.
If you're in Undertaker's position, you can make a call like that. Someone like Dolph Ziggler, on the other hand, is going where WWE tells him unless something is torn, pulled or broken.
This is a story worth taking with a grain of salt until more comes out about it. Would Undertaker really pull out of contracted dates out of safety concerns?
We can be assured that The Deadman's name will pop up again soon. Rumors and backstage rumblings about him never seem to rest.
