Police Investigating Potential Assault by Security During Panthers vs. Cowboys

The Arlington Police Department has reportedly opened an investigation into an alleged assault by AT&T Stadium security during a game between the Carolina Panthers and Dallas Cowboys on Thanksgiving Day.

TMZ Sports reported Panthers fan John Small filed a police report after video emerged showing him getting put into an aggressive headlock. Small claims he did nothing to cause the situation to escalate and is asking other fans to come forward with video.

The police are investigating the assault as a possible Class A misdemeanor. TMZ Sports passed along the YouTube video showing the incident (Warning: Video contains NSFW language):

The report noted the fan was alleged to be "disruptive" before security arrived.

The Arlington Police Department hasn't released any information about the investigation or provided a timetable for when it will decide whether to bring charges in the case. The Dallas Morning News noted a spokesperson for AT&T Stadium also declined comment.
