Bryce Cotton to Suns: Latest Contract Details, Comments and Reaction
With the Phoenix Suns nicked up at the guard position, the team called up Bryce Cotton from the NBA Development League on Wednesday, according to Paul Coro of AZCentral.com.
Per Coro, Eric Bledsoe and Brandon Knight, Phoenix's top two scorers, are dealing with nagging injuries. Bledsoe is averaging 23.2 points per game, while Knight isn't too far behind with 21.4.
The Suns are hoping Cotton can step in and provide not only depth, but some added scoring until Bledsoe and Knight are fully healthy.

In four D-League games this season, the 6'1" Cotton averaged 22.0 points, 4.5 assists and 1.5 steals for the Austin Spurs, San Antonio's affiliate.
The undrafted guard out of Providence College has seen action in the NBA before, appearing in 15 games for the Utah Jazz last season, averaging 5.3 points in 10.9 minutes per game. He stayed on with Utah through the offseason, but the Jazz waived him in October, per the San Antonio Express-News' Jabari Young.
Cotton fills an empty roster spot the Suns possessed, but according to Coro, a minimum-salary deal would become guaranteed only if the 23-year-old stays on with the team until Jan. 10.
Coro noted the 7-7 Suns will attempt to get Cotton, an aggressive point guard who isn't afraid to put the ball on the floor and drive to the hoop, in Phoenix and ready for their 9 p.m. ET game against the New Orleans Pelicans on Wednesday.
