Carroll said he expects Lynch to take on a full workload Sunday, per the Seahawks.
Lynch Crucial for Seahawks
Lynch is one of the best running backs in the NFL and vital to Seattle’s chances at reaching the Super Bowl for a third straight year.
He ran for more than 1,200 yards in each of the last four seasons and had 25 combined rushing touchdowns in 2013 and 2014 as the Seahawks won two NFC titles.
Lynch’s ability to physically overpower defenders for critical yards and operate in a zone-read offense with quarterback Russell Wilson is a major reason Seattle established itself as one of the most consistent winners in the league over the past few years.
Despite Thomas Rawls' success in the run game in Lynch's absence, nobody can replace the five-time Pro Bowler, and the Seahawks need Lynch back on the field if they hope to rebound from a 2-3 start to the season.
