Will the Real Eli Manning Please Stand Up?
Throughout Eli Manning's career, he has been highly inconsistent, which left many Giants’ fans highly frustrated.
In some games, he'll look great throwing multiple touchdowns, and in other games, he'll make bonehead mistakes that leaves you scratching your head wondering what the heck he was thinking.
Take 2007 for instance. He'll have games like the one versus Dallas in the first week of the season throwing for 312 yards and four touchdowns passes.

Also, games like the one against Buffalo going seven of 15 with 111 yards passing zero touchdown passes and two interceptions.
Towards the end of the 2007 season, many Giants’ fans were calling for Eli Manning's head.
Heading towards a week 17 match-up against the heavily favored New England Patriots, many expected the Patriots to dismantle Eli. But something happened. Something clicked.
Against the best team in the NFL, and one of the best teams ever, Eli Manning was extremely efficient and played mostly mistake free football.
Completing 22 of 32 passing attempts for 251 yards, four touchdowns, and only one interception. With a quarterback rating of 118.6.
Many thought that was a fluke, and bonehead Eli Manning would return the following week. But Eli Manning and the New York Giants got hot and stayed hot throughout the playoffs.
Eli Manning played mistake free football anchored by a dominating defensive line and great running game. That eventually led to the biggest upset in Superbowl history.
Now as we begin to head into the 2008 NFL season, I wonder which Eli Manning will show up.
Would Eli Manning continue his mistake free football and do it consistently throughout the 2008 season? Or will he come crashing back to reality and play inconsistently once again?
Only time will tell. But as long the Giants’ defensive line and running game continue, it's dominance he should be able to. But we shall see.
