Tony Romo threw for a career high 353 yards and three touchdowns of over 30 yards as the Cowboys balanced offensive attack drowned the Bucs.

The Cowboys couldn't wait to show that they didn't need Terrell Owens to get the ball down the field and for at least one week they did just that. Romo hit six different receivers on just 16 passes and rarely faced pressure.

Miles Austin started the party in late in the second quarter catching a fade route that Romo threw behind him on purpose then made a great fake to the inside to shake Jermaine Phillips and walk into the end zone.

Roy Williams then scored on the first drive after halftime when he ran a straight fly in the middle of the field, but the Bucs defense froze on Crayton running across the middle and Romo hit Williams who broke a tackle by Ronde Barber and scored easily.

After the Bucs cut the lead to six early in the fourth, Romo pump faked from his own twenty and everyone on the Bucs defense bit and Romo found Crayton wide open for an 80 yard TD. The three combined for eight catches, 263 yards and three touchdowns.

The Cowboys running game was also successful; Marion Barber had 79 yards and one TD on just 14 carries. Tashard Choice had just two carries for ten yards and Felix Jones had a 19 yard carry but was held in check the rest of the game.

The defense made stops when it counted but had some struggles as well.

Cadillac Williams ran over the Cowboys, especially Pat Watkins, for 97 yards and two TDs on 13 carries. Derrick Ward added another 62 yards on 12 carries. The defense also failed to record a single sack on Leftwich, who threw for 276 yards and one TD, although they pressured him throughout the game and knocked him down a lot.

The secondary shut down former Cowboy Antonio Bryant who had only two catches for 29 yards, but Michael Clayton beat Terence Newman for a 47-yard pass just before halftime.

If the Cowboys want a shot to beat the Giants next week they have to tighten up their run defense, because the Giants have no problem taking the ball out of Eli Manning's hands and letting Brandon Jacobs run the show.

David Buehler made sure the Bucs had to work to get down the field as he had three touchbacks and the Bucs average starting position was their 23-yard line.

The Cowboys weren't great, but they did show that they'll be able to move the ball this season and that they're still good at getting pressure. Now they just have to fine tune themselves before the home debut against the Giants on Sunday night.

Be sure to come back for the Cowboys injury report tomorrow.
