WWE's Top Tweets, Instagram Photos and Viral Videos for Week of July 27
WWE's best social media featured unexpected mash-ups, collisions of worlds and a welcoming of famous faces to the wrestling domain.
Twitter and Instagram were there to catch Seth Rollins invading The Daily Show once more. A well-traveled video featured WWE Superstars inserted into Terminator 2: Judgment Day. The week's collection of shareable WWE stuff also included a parody video touching on the Hulk Hogan controversy and LeBron James' offering up his favorites of the squared circle.
We start first with John Cena and the broken nose heard around the Internet.

On Monday's Raw, a knee from Rollins smashed Cena's nose into an unsettling sight. WWE hasn't been shy about showing it, though.
In addition to a photo gallery on WWE.com, the company posted a shot of his busted schnoz on Instagram:

LeBron knows what Cena went through, although he didn't have to take a powerbomb after his own similar injury. The Cleveland Cavalier megastar had to wear a protective mask (that looked like something out of early '90s WWE) to cover his broken nose.
Had most athletes tweeted what LeBron did, it wouldn't have had nearly as many people talking. However, when the best basketball player today list his five favorite wrestlers, it sparks some attention.
In response to a fan question, LeBron named his pro wrestling starting five, so to speak:
It's an excellent group, all Hall of Famers. It's also a conversation starter. WWE.com used LeBron's tweet as inspiration to ask fans to chime in with their own quintets of in-ring gladiators.
Noticeably missing from LeBron's five? Anyone from the modern era. Perhaps the two-time MVP has been two busy studying NBA tape to check out any of today's stars. If that's the case, he's missing out on the wild antics of one Dean Ambrose.
Ambrose showed up in a surprising place this week: a Terminator movie. Well, sort of.
To announce that the Terminator would be a playable character in WWE 2K16, WWE and 2K put together a video of Ambrose, Daniel Bryan and Finn Balor invading T2 in entertaining fashion:
If you're looking for a Superstar to take down the Terminator when the game comes out, Sheamus might be your man. He's not made of steel, but a Brogue Kick might be enough to slow down the cyborg.
The Celtic Warrior's sense of humor, not his hard-hitting offense, earned him a spot on this list. WWE artist Rob Schamberger painted a portrait of Sheamus. The brawler made a funny quip on Twitter, making fun of his own paleness:
Eventually, Sheamus is going to cash in his Money in the Bank contract. Perhaps Schamberger will then have a chance to paint the image of Sheamus, WWE title in hand, standing over a fallen Rollins.
Until then, it's Rollins' prize to carry around. It's his ticket to getting high-profile appearances. The latest of those came with the champ's second invasion of Jon Stewart's The Daily Show:
Despite his history with the talk-show host, Rollins handed Stewart a custom replica WWE title. The show's official Instagram page captured the two men each holding their gold-plated belts:
After over a decade of watching Stewart host The Daily Show, it's nearly time to say goodbye to him. He's set to relinquish his hosting duties in the next few weeks.
Saying goodbye is something WWE fans had to do in different forms recently. For one, former Divas champion Layla El officially called it quits.
Renee Young posted the best reaction to the news:
"My reaction upon hearing about @mslayel retiring from wwe! love Ya Lay! Can't wait to see what you spin up next! pic.twitter.com/BBB0w6cunX

Unfortunately, fans also have to say goodbye to Hogan, in a way. As a result of controversy over a racially charged rant, WWE has been cleansing itself of The Hulkster's likeness the best it can. For now, Hogan is gone from the company.
That whole drama inspired a hilarious parody video on Funny or Die. In it, Bray Wyatt learns of the Hogan situation as he tries to record a promo:
This is far from the most obvious approach they could have taken with this. Going outside the box, a trademark of the real Wyatt, led to a video well worth sharing on the social media platform of your choosing.
