Alec NathanSep 13, 2015

Oakland Raiders quarterback Derek Carr is active for the game against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 2. The quarterback suffered a bruised thumb in the second quarter of last week's game against the Cincinnati Bengals after running with the ball and taking a big hit.

Fallon Smith of CSN Bay Area reported Carr was a full participant in practice Wednesday. Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports reported he won't have restrictions or wear a protective device in Sunday's game.

"We think he'll be in good shape," Raiders head coach Jack del Rio said when asked about Carr on Wednesday, according to Brian Bower of the Russell Street Report.

On Sept. 13, Jason Cole of Bleacher Report reported X-rays were negative. Scott Bair of CSN Bay Area noted Carr had his hand and one finger in a splint after the game.

Prior to leaving the game, Carr was 7-of-12 for 61 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions.

He battled a minor thumb injury late in his rookie season but managed to start all 16 games during what amounted to an impressive inaugural showing.

The Fresno State product threw for 3,270 yards, 21 touchdowns and 12 interceptions in 2014.
