Extent of Injury Uncertain

Wednesday, June 17

Charles Gardner of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported the news of a sprained ankle. JP Cadorin of the TWC SportsChannel provided some further information from fellow Cardinals draft hopeful Terry Rozier as Harrell received treatment during the media session:

Andrew Gruman of Fox Sports Wisconsin noted Bucks director of scouting Billy McKinney was impressed with Harrell and Arkansas' Bobby Portis before the injury:

Those comments don't come as a surprise because battling down low is Harrell's modus operandi. He's a bit undersized and is still working to add more versatility to his offensive game, but he doesn't get outworked and is a high-end athlete with good length.

Unless it turns out the injury is more serious than Rozier projects, this setback shouldn't have much impact on the power forward's draft stock. He should land somewhere in the middle of Round 1 after averaging 15.7 points and 9.2 rebounds for Louisville last season.

While it may take some time for him to find a consistent role at the next level, he's the type of player who should carve out a niche eventually.
