Timothy RappJun 17, 2015

Fresh off their 105-97 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers in Game 6 of the NBA Finals, the Golden State Warriors released information about the victory parade to be held in Oakland on Friday, June 19 after the team clinched its first title in 40 years.

According to the team's website, the parade will begin at 10 a.m. PT and will start at "Broadway at 11th Street, turning right on Grand Avenue, and right on Harrison to Lakeside Drive, ending on Oak and proceeding to the Henry J. Kaiser Convention Center for the Rally."

NBC Bay Area on Twitter released the following map of the route:

Per the team's website, fans can line up for the parade as early as 5 a.m. PT at Lakeshore and 12th Street, and "BART will run extra trains through Oakland all day and will modify routes to accommodate parade and rally attendants."

If the team's raucous and spirited home games are any indication, expect a wild, crazy and fun Friday morning in Oakland, with plenty of celebrations like the one the NBA on TNT Twitter account passed along on Tuesday night:

After all, this parade was 40 years in the making. Oakland and the Bay Area are going to be partying, folks, and given how good the Warriors were this season, it may simply be the first postseason party of many to come in the foreseeable future.
