Rahim Moore to Texans: Latest Contract Details, Comments and Reaction
Veteran safety Rahim Moore is coming off a career season in 2014. He has reportedly cashed in on that success by agreeing to a deal with the Houston Texans.
ESPN's Adam Schefter first reported the deal, while John McClain of the Houston Chronicle reported that the deal is for three years, and is worth $12 million. The team later confirmed the signing.
Even though Moore will forever be associated with the 70-yard touchdown pass caught by Jacoby Jones during the fourth quarter in the 2013 Divisional playoff game against Baltimore, he's carved out a good career beyond that moment.

Moore finished 2014 with a career-high four interceptions and added 45 total tackles to Denver's defense.
In a weak safety market, the 25-year-old seemed to have a lot of negotiating power, as noted by Mike Garafolo of Fox Sports:
Thomas Maney of Pro Football Focus had Moore ranked as the No. 2 free agent safety and noting he excelled in pass coverage:
"Only two safeties bested his five interceptions and he had among the lowest Yards per Cover Snap at the position (0.25). Run defense is a question mark, as he graded at -3.3 there in 2014, with missed tackles one of the main issues...
"
Given how valuable safeties have become over the last five years as pass defenders, Moore figures to be one of the most underrated signees this offseason.
It's hard to find an impact player in the secondary, especially one as young as Mooore, so this signing immediately makes his new team better with plenty of long-term upside.
