Happy birthday, Cal. Glad you got that power forward you've been looking for.

---End of Update---

Have you seen Trey Lyles? He’s a big guy, about 6’10”—looks like a giant man-baby with post moves.

If you have seen him, could you let John Calipari know? Over the last 12 hours or so, the head coach of Kentucky's basketball team has been tweeting out messages that amount to, “Honey, we left the power forward.”

The Wildcats were flying to Baton Rouge for Tuesday night’s matchup against LSU when Calipari apparently figured out he had botched the head count:

He followed this up by asking Kentucky fans to keep their good eye open for Lyles:

Big Blue Nation responded with a firestorm of social media memes, and #WhereIsTrey was born:

Devin Booker would really like to know where his teammate ran off to:

As for Calipari, he laid down an ultimatum for Lyles on Tuesday morning: miss shootaround and you’re sitting again.

Now, it would be a stark departure from this coach’s character to have some fun at the expense of one of his players—particularly Lyles, who has sat out with an illness in recent weeks and may be ready to play Tuesday. Calipari would never, ever joke around and say a player is missing just to have him start the next night, right? There is no Shyamalan twist to this story.

Welp, there you have it, Kentucky fans. Those of you who spent the wee hours of Tuesday morning leading torchlit bloodhound searches through the chilly dells of Lexington can now rest easy. Lyles is (reportedly) in Baton Rouge, and he could see playing time tonight.

John Calipari, everyone. He’ll be here all week, and for the next decade at least.

Dan is on Twitter, searching for Lyles and the Crean who stole Christmas.
