Terrell Owens Has Chance to Break Jerry Rice's Records

This article might get me some negative feedback, but I'm going to stand by this.

I believe Terrell Owens will break Jerry Rice's record for receiving yards and touchdowns.

He is 8,793 Yards away from tying Rice's record and 58 touchdowns away from the receiving touchdowns record.

True, T.O. is up there in age (he’ll be 36 in December), but he takes incredible care of his body. I watched him in the Hall of Fame game in Canton, Ohio, this past weekend, and I couldn't believe how well the man has aged, he looks the same as he did 14 years ago when he played for the 49ers.

Some of you must remember that interview he gave back when he played with Philly, where he was doing crunches on the hot pavement of his home.

Now, for him to get to these records, he needs at least five more years to get the touchdown record, and six to get the yardage record. He has been the best receiver the past three years with 38 touchdown catches.

He has a love for the game that some people seem to overlook because of his off-the-field antics, but his love for the game will keep him going until he can no longer play.

He has shown a lot of emotion in his time in the NFL along as some playfulness. Whether you’re getting your popcorn ready or he's pulling a Sharpie out of his shoe and crucifying himself on the Dallas star, he does what he needs to win ball games with his teams.

He has made the quarterbacks around him better, and as long as he's wanted in this league, he will keep playing.

Now, as I said earlier, I may be crazy to think someone will actually break the records of the best WR in NFL history, but Randy Moss was able to break one of them. T.O. is a competitor and gives his all in every play, just like Rice did in his career.

If T.O. ends up staying in the league another six years, which I think he might, he will also have a shot at that catches record that he's only 598 away from.

Is it too early for me to start talking about this? Maybe. He has yet to prove himself with Buffalo, but he might just be the new Andre Reed in Buffalo. Dick Jauron is a coach who will find so many new ways to utilize T.O. in the Bills’ offense.

Now, I don't feel as though Buffalo is the perfect place for him, though I believe he will bring success to the team. If he were to join the New England Patriots and Bill Belichick's explosive offense, Jerry Rice and Randy Moss can say goodbye to their records. Without a second thought in my mind, Owens will break them if he joins New England.

I know this will cause a bit of a controversy, so I'm ready to hear it.
