Jay Gruden Reportedly Told He'll Return to Redskins for 2015 Season
The Washington Redskins are in the midst of a second straight tumultuous season, but instead of turning to a third head coach in as many years, they're reportedly deploying a continuity policy with Jay Gruden.
According to plugged-in sources, Gruden will be roaming the sidelines for Washington in 2015, per NBC4 D.C.'s Dianna Marie Russini:

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
It appears enough faith exists in Gruden to turn around pro football in the nation's capital, despite a woeful 3-11 record in his first year at the helm.
Bleacher Report's Michael Schottey isn't quite sold that the coach's job security is safe, though, citing owner Daniel Snyder as the reason:
Chief among the problems Gruden has struggled with in his first shot at an NFL head-coaching gig is his penchant to play musical chairs at the quarterback position. For a franchise that has struggled with stability in recent years, that's hardly a recipe for success.
Rumors of discord have swirled around the organization, particularly with regard to Gruden's perception of apparent franchise quarterback Robert Griffin III.
Perhaps it comes as no coincidence that this report of Gruden being safe surfaces on the very day he named Griffin the starter for Week 16's game against Philadelphia.
That almost came by default, since the man Griffin was benched for not long ago, Colt McCoy, is dealing with a neck injury.
Whether Gruden decided to play ball with the rest of the organization's prominent figureheads is unclear, since the reports of inner turmoil are based on insider information. The decision to play Griffin may have had zero impact on Gruden's job security.
At least Washington isn't abruptly reneging on a high-profile decision as it's tended to do—if the team ultimately does keep Gruden as head coach.
