Murray Out vs. Rams

According to Scott Bair of CSN Bay Area, Murray has been ruled of Sunday's game:

"

Raiders running back Latavius Murray has been ruled out of Sunday’s game against the St. Louis Rams.

The second-year pro was held out of Friday’s practice after being a limited participant on Wednesday and Thursday, a setback on his road to recovery.

He hasn’t been cleared to play and won’t be. The Raiders planned on exercising caution with Murray, and didn’t want to rush him back despite a dazzling performance last week against the Kansas City Chiefs. He had 112 yards and two touchdowns on just four carries in that game, which left Raiders fans wanting more.

Murray Suffers Concussion

Latavius Murray's breakout night against the Kansas City Chiefs on Thursday night came to an unfortunate close, as the running back left the game with an apparent head injury in the first half.

The Oakland Raiders' official Twitter account has the report:

He was ruled out by the team in the third quarter:

Will Carroll of Bleacher Report added:

Murray was brilliant in the first half for Oakland, rushing four times for 112 yards and two touchdowns, including an impressive 90-yard rushing score that saw him leave the Kansas City defenders in the dust. He appeared to have suffered the injury on a rush attempt up the middle in the second quarter, fumbling on the play (Oakland recovered the fumble).

With Darren McFadden and Maurice Jones-Drew hardly impressing this season, Murray's performance on Thursday night seemed justification for giving him a look as the starter for the rest of the season. Now, the team will simply be hoping he didn't suffer a serious concussion and can return to action sooner rather than later.

For a team that is lacking playmakers, Murray's performance on Thursday night was exactly the boost the offense needed and will continue to need going forward.
