WWE's Top Tweets, Instagram Photos and Viral Videos for Week of Oct. 27

Ryan DilbertOct 31, 2014

Thank Hell in a Cell and Halloween for providing some of the best WWE social media as October closes.

Much of the most notable WWE-related tweets, viral videos and Instagram photos came by way of the steel structure that housed two big matches at the latest pay-per-view and Divas merging spooky with sexy. Daniel Bryan, Zack Ryder and a Florida State Seminole contributed as well.

Of the many ways WWE tries to insert Halloween into its product, dressing the Divas in costumes for a photo shoot is one of the more enjoyable ones.

The company shared a video of Paige, Lana and others posing inside a creepy house and looking excellent:

This may not have been what Paige was dreaming of when she was refining her craft at NXT. At least she's long done with the grueling tryouts that earned her a spot on the roster.

Before a Superstar gets a chance to go on Raw or even NXT, there's a battle that needs to be won at the WWE Performance Center. It's a battle of mind versus body, heart versus fatigue.

WWE highlighted that struggle in a compelling behind-the-scenes video of several potential prospects during a recent tryout:

Seeing how arduous a task it is to just get into the business makes one respect the low-carders even more. It's easy to crack jokes at Ryder's expense now that he's on TV less often than the Brock Lesnar guy. He is, though, doing an incredibly taxing job, just on house shows instead of on TV.

It looks like even 2K has stopped appreciating what he does.

As Ryder pointed out on Twitter, he is not in the WWE 2K15 video game:

If there wasn't space for him, that's understandable, but it sure does sting when the game then makes use of his creation, the Internet Championship. Perhaps Ryder will sue for royalties or else just take out his aggression the next time he steps into the ring.

Florida State tight end Nick O'Leary clearly has no issue with channeling his own rage onto his opponent.

When a Louisville linebacker made an interception, O'Leary was waiting for him. He borrowed a move from Lesnar's move set and hit a German suplex:

The Seminoles went on to win that game, allowing them to celebrate despite falling behind 21-0.

Bryan had his own reason to celebrate. He watched on as the San Francisco Giants took Game 7 and won the World Series on Wednesday. Bryan responded with the "Yes!" chant.

That's a sight that has been sorely missed. Brie Bella's version is fine, but watching Bryan lead an arena full of people in the chant was one of the best parts of WWE over the last year-plus.

In Bryan's absence, Seth Rollins and Ambrose have stepped up as main event stars. They solidified that with a stellar performance inside The Devil's Playground.

WWE posted a great shot of the structure:

An image on Instagram of Ambrose prepping for that match captured the simple, unsettling message he wrote on his wrist tape:

As memorable and moving as that bout was, its hokey, hologram-centered ending was what many fans were talking about afterward. A bluish ghost-like version of Bray Wyatt appeared at the match's closing moments.

Many fans complained. Others took to poking fun at it.

The Evil Mr. McMahon Twitter account gave a possible explanation for how WWE could afford that bit of special effects:

Kayfabe News imagined what else WWE could do with the hologram:

That wouldn't be the worst idea WWE has had. Shawn Michaels once teamed with God, remember?

Let's just hope that Ryder doesn't get booted out of WWE 2K16 in favor of Wyatt's hologram.
