Real Madrid Should Sign Arturo Vidal After Failed Man United Transfer
Real Madrid should move for Juventus midfielder Arturo Vidal now that his Manchester United transfer move has collapsed.
Per the Daily Mail's Simon Jones, Louis van Gaal has decided to end his side's pursuit of the Chile star.
Jones says Juventus were happy to sell the 27-year-old dynamo for around £32 million but that United have decided not to buy him.

The news was strange. Until Monday, United seemed rabid in their pursuit of him.
Vidal seemed like he wanted to leave the club too, telling La Tercera, h/t the Daily Mail, "I've heard about the rumours, but I haven't spoken more about this subject. I'm enjoying my holidays, and when I return to Italy I'll see what happens. Anyone would like to play for one of the biggest clubs in the world."
Moving to Real Madrid would make sense for him, far more so than a move to Manchester United.

For one, the Red Devils are not in the Champions League.
A player of Vidal's quality needs to play on the grandest stage, and if he were to join Van Gaal, he wouldn't even be able to play on Thursday nights in the Europa League.
Furthermore, at United, he would need to be defensively disciplined, with the other midfielders likely to start—Ander Herrera, Juan Mata—more advanced.
It would curb some of his tremendous energy and attacking thrust.
At Real Madrid, the system is better suited to him.
If he plays with Xabi Alonso, he has license to roam, with the Spaniard hanging back.
Vidal would also complement the smooth Luka Modric, offering precisely the physical attributes that aren't the Croatian's strong points.
With Sami Khedira looking close to an Arsenal switch, per Sport, h/t Tom Sheen at The Independent, there will be gap in Real Madrid's midfield.

Toni Kroos seems set to join, but Angel Di Maria is heading toward the exit, per B/R's Allan Jiang.
That wouldn't have an impact on a potential Vidal signing, as Kroos should cost less than they raise for Di Maria.
It makes far more sense for Real Madrid to incorporate Vidal, giving them something extra in midfield, than it does to make a move for Colombia World Cup star James Rodriguez.
History shows us that Madrid loving making big-name, show-off, marquee signings. And that's what Rodriguez would be, as he took the World Cup by storm and won the FIFA Golden Boot.
But Vidal is a big name too, and he would be far more useful to the side.
At the moment, Real Madrid's attack is terrifying. The midfield is superb in support of it but seems fairly easy to penetrate.
With Vidal in the side, Madrid would be able to stop some of the sloppy goals they conceded last term. He would make them a far more fearsome proposition.
