Texas HS Football Player to Take Texans Cheerleader to Prom Thanks to Retweets

High school kids all over the country have found creative ways to ask celebrities to prom, and many of those proposals end in disappointment. For one lucky Texas football player, his courage looks like it will be rewarded.

UPDATE: Sunday, May 11 at 7:15 p.m. ET

Caitlyn and Michael went to prom this past weekend, and they posted a few photos on Twitter.

---End of update---

Crosby (Texas) High School offensive lineman Michael Ramirez got in touch with a Houston Texans cheerleader named Caitlyn. He came up with a plan to see if he could get her to attend prom with him:

Ramirez topped 10,000 retweets on Friday afternoon, so he tweeted to show his appreciation:

It looks like Caitlyn will be sticking to her word:

Ramirez is going to be a very popular guy at school.

If this teaches us anything, it's that some risks are worth taking.
