Metta World Peace knows toughness.

I'm not talking elbow-to-James-Harden's-head toughness, but mental resolution. The kind that, according to him, wins championships.

World Peace took to Twitter—because that's what he does—to tell his followers who made his All-Mental Toughness of the Decade First Team.

Making the list was former Los Angeles Lakers point guard Derek Fisher, current teammate Kobe Bryant, the Miami Heat's Dwyane Wade, the San Antonio Spurs' Tim Duncan and the Dallas Mavericks' Dirk Nowitzki.

Metta then astutely concludes that this list is why the Spurs can win.

I know, I'm confused too.

Unless his list was an indirect shot at LeBron James—who was noticeably absent—or World Peace simply forgot that he included both Duncan and Wade on the list, his assessment makes little-to-no sense. Which isn't exactly new.

In theory, if the Spurs can win because Duncan is mentally tough, the Heat should also be able to win because Wade is made of the same internal material.

There's always the possibility Metta is implying that Wade isn't as headstrong as his counterpart. His ranking system isn't really clear.

Then again, that's hardly surprising. World Peace frequently speaks in riddles, puzzles, parables and general incongruities.

When he made a return to the Lakers lineup months before he was supposed to, he cited being "too sexy" for his cat as the reason behind the miracle.

Forgive me then for not placing too much claim in his mental-fortitude rant. It's difficult to trust a guy who waged a conflicting personality battle on the same day.

At least he left both World Peace and Ron Artest off the team. Clearly, neither of them deserved to the make the roster.
