Oakland Raiders: Raider Nation Always Stands Tall Despite the Adversity!

Raider Nation has gone through bitter times for the past five years and it is hard not to be criticized for your allegiance to Oakland recently.

Despite the adversity, Raider fans have tolerated every bit of harshness and have only grown stronger bonds to their team. Raider nation houses the most die-hard fans in the country and when they say "Win or lose, Raiders till we die," they mean every bit of that phrase. Raider fans chose to live through the struggles of their team and proudly embrace the Silver & Black for whatever it maybe.

Critics have quickly jumped on the Raiders for the past five years simply because of their football domination in the decades before that. As soon as the Raiders fell, the media and these so called "Football Experts" started dishing out every piece of negative criticism that could be extracted. I remember just two years ago when the Raiders finished last in the NFL, these experts started calling the 2006 Raiders the worst team in football history forgetting the fact that the team had the third best defense that year and the 60s-70s Cowboys, Saints and the Buccaneers each finished their seasons with one or none wins at all.

Even in this free agency period, the Raiders remain the sole object of what these critics have called "positive evaluation". Yeah, I don't see any other team getting as much "positive evaluation" as the Raiders. Even through all of this, Raider fans have remained steadfast and unmoved. 

The Media has portrayed these fans as gangster rappers, drug dealers, low life scums, and convicts, but the truth is far from it. Raider Nation has some of the most educated fans in Football and even their female members are probably more knowledgeable about the old gridiron than many male fans of other teams. Raider merchandise has always been one of the most top selling in the NFL even though the Raiders have finished a combined league worst of 15-61 for the past five years. 

Raider Nation is not just a national community but has its supporters expand throughout the globe in places even like Japan, China and Europe. The Raiders website can also be viewed in the most variety of languages compared to other team sites. Even in good old Bleacher report, 4 out of 5 of the most visited articles are about the Raiders and this is just the off-season! 

In short, the Raider fan base consists of fans that live & die for their Raider pride and nothing or nobody can break this connection they share with their team.
