WrestleMania 29 is right around the corner. As it stands right now, the Rock will defend the WWE Championship against either John Cena or CM Punk, or both. His return to the company has been and continues to be a success.

The Rock has done it all in his illustrious career. He has accomplished exactly what he set out to do: becoming a superstar that has successfully made the transition from the world of professional wrestling to film and television. In an ideal world, he could have both a successful wrestling career and a successful acting career. That's in an ideal world.

In the real world, at some point, Rock will need to make a choice about the future. Part-time wrestler, part-time actor just does not add up in the long run. Although his return to wrestling has been celebrated, it has also been subject to criticism. Too much time spent away from the ring in addition to age has affected his performance. He is not the same performer he was more than 10 years ago.

In the end, Rock will have to make a choice. Chances are he will choose acting. He did it once before and he will do it again. Right now he is in a prime position to take his acting to the next level as he appears in more films that continue to do well at the box office. The question is whether or not the Rock should call it quits at WrestleMania XXX.

We already know he is confirmed for the event. That and the location for WrestleMania XXX have already been announced. WrestleMania XXX promises to be the biggest one of them all—well, in theory—simply because it marks 30 years of success and tradition for World Wrestling Entertainment. It has to be the biggest one of all, where anything could happen. Does that include Rock's retirement?

There really is nothing left for Rock to accomplish in the world of professional wrestling. Another title run will do nothing to enhance his legacy. Unless he faces an opponent other than John Cena, perhaps CM Punk or maybe Brock Lesnar, there is no one else worthy of putting over or having an epic match with.

Nostalgia is a wonderful thing. It allows us to go down memory lane and relive wonderful moments. Rock's return to the company has been exactly that, a wonderful trip down memory lane. However, memory lane is not always what it is cracked up to be. If Rock continues to come and go for months at a time, fans may decide he isn't worth the trip, especially if his matches do not live up to the hype.

WrestleMania XXX would be a great place to end a great career for a man who has redefined what it means to be a superstar.
