National signing day kicked off with a bang for the Tennessee Volunteers, who started receiving official letters of intent from current commits and formerly undecided players as early as 7:00 a.m. So far, the Vols haven't lost any commitments and instead have gained a few new ones.

Here are some of the latest updates for Tennessee's recruiting (all times are a.m. and Eastern Time):

Updates on the Official Signees

Right off the bat, all five early enrollees inked with the Volunteers. Paul Harris, Lemond Johnson, Riyahd Jones, Jalen Reeves-Maybin and Corey Vereen all signed on and went off to their first classes of the day.

Next, the fax machine got working and received the letters of intent for most of the the remaining 13 commitments, from AJ Bransiel before 7:00 to Cameron Sutton at 8:50.

The Volunteers await the signatures of Jason Carr (since signed), Woody Quinn (signed since) and Brett Kendrick (since signed).

With a signed class of 16, Tennessee was ranked 25th nationally in recruiting, according to Rivals.

Jaylen Miller and Joshua Dobbs will be Vols

Miller ended his strong UT lean with an official letter at 8:35. He's a 3-star defensive lineman out of South Carolina and had his college choices down to Tennessee, Georgia Tech and NC State.

With that new signing (bringing the total to 17), the Big Orange jumped to 22nd nationally in recruiting, according to Rivals. Miller will be a player to keep an eye on this summer and fall.

Kipp Adams recently reported that 4-star quarterback Joshua Dobbs (since signed) will also be a Vol:

What to Watch For...

Butch Jones and his staff will be watching the announcements of 5-star safety Vonn Bell and 4-star wide receiver Tyler Boyd, who both make their decisions right around 10:00.

In a prediction article yesterday, I had Tennessee landing Bell (since signed with Ohio State) but missing out on Boyd to Pittsburgh (since signed). We'll have to wait and see what ends up happening.
