With just a few days before TNA’s Genesis pay-per-view, Sunday, Jan. 13, it’s time for the go-home episode of Impact! Wrestling to finalize all of the current storylines and set the stage for Sunday’s event.

If TNA can make Thursday’s episode memorable while furthering the current angles, the company can salvage this PPV and put on an excellent show.

As we always say, TNA has the talented roster and the ability to put on great in-ring action, but they have to get the fans to care about the stories being told.

This week’s Impact! Wrestling has the potential to be a great show, but let’s see if the company can pull it off or if there will be glaring errors that ruin the PPV build. Let’s hope for the former.

Where: Universal Studios, Orlando, Fla.

When: Thursday, Jan. 10, at 8 p.m. ET

Watch: Spike TV

Go-Home Show for Genesis

With TNA’s Genesis on the horizon, it is imperative to the build of the show that this week’s Impact! Wrestling finishes laying the groundwork for the PPV. With TNA determined to get fans to care, this Thursday’s show must be one of the best all year.

Question on Everybody's Mind: Will TNA Blow out This Week’s Impact?

Genesis isn’t considered one of TNA’s top PPVs, but the fact that it has a three-way title match, as well as several other big matchups including Sting, Aces and Eights and more, proves TNA should be going all-in with this edition of Impact! Wrestling.

Hype Meter: 4 out of 5 Hulk Hogan Backstage Segments

With one of the company’s top stars, Bully Ray, suspended and the rest of the card either fighting the Aces and Eights or each other, the Impact Zone has been the picture of chaos. If the company wants to put on a great show Sunday, it must make Thursday’s Impact! great.

Aces and Eights

While there are a plethora of young stars on the roster that should be getting a major push and there are plenty of great storylines waiting to be told, the main focus of TNA continues to be the Aces and Eights invasion angle.

Question on Everybody's Mind: Will This Angle Ever End?

The best part of the long, drawn out storylines is the culmination of a reveal that blows the socks off the common fan. Just like Hulk Hogan joining the nWo, the leader needs to be a huge shock that gets the entire wrestling world talking. Instead, we got Mike Knox last week.

Hype Meter: 1 out of 5 Broom-Closet Meetings

From the way Aces and Eights bribes their members with prostitutes to the lack of storyline continuity, this has been an awful angle that has felt lackluster from the start. Add in the reveals of Festus and Mike Knox, and this is something that must end sooner rather than later.
