The sand has almost cleared the hourglass.
Time is almost up. The only thing left is the end of another season.
And with it comes the realization the Mike Mularkey era in Jacksonville might have run its course. With only one season under his belt in the state he played college in, Mularkey will go down as the coach who did the least with a team that had the least talent in the NFL.
Not something you want to hang your hat on and try to acquire another coaching gig.
While the list may be long to replace Mularkey, team owner Shad Khan has a list already prepared with the idea that Tim Tebow will be a Jaguar in 2013 and both Gene Smith and Mularkey will be gone, hiring the right person is essential for the continuity of this team.
