Robert Griffin III is back on the field practicing, following a sprained knee suffered in Week 14 against the Baltimore Ravens.

It has not yet been confirmed that he will play this week but all indications are that he will take the field against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 16.

RGIII missed the Redskins' game against the Cleveland Browns in Week 15, but backup Kirk Cousins, also a rookie, threw for 329 yards and two touchdowns in a 38-21 victory against the Cleveland Browns.

The victory, coupled with a loss by the New York Giants, moved the Redskins into first place in the NFC East (although the Dallas Cowboys and Giants are also 8-6).

Washington has currently won five straight games following a 3-6 start to the season. The Redskins can win the division by defeating the Eagles, who are just 4-10, and the Dallas Cowboys, who are also fighting for a division title.

Against the Eagles in Week 11, RGIII completed 14 of 15 passes for 200 yards and four touchdowns. Needless to say, he posted a perfect passer rating. He also rushed 12 times for 84 yards. The Redskins won easily, 31-6.

If he defeats the Eagles in Week 16, he will become the first rookie quarterback ever to defeat the Eagles twice in the same season.

In 13 games this year, RGIII has completed 233-of-351 passes (66.4 percent) for 2902 yards, 18 touchdowns and four interceptions. He leads the league in yards per attempt and interception percentage, and ranks second in passer rating. He also has 112 runs for 748 yards and six touchdowns, and he leads the league in yards per carry.
