WWE.com has released the latest official statement on the condition of Cody Rhodes

The reports of Rhodes' injury were first released on Tuesday night, after the second-generation WWE Superstar sustained an injury during a tag team match against Team Hell No for the tapping of WWE's Main Event.

According to WWE.com, the latest news looks grim for Rhodes, a member of Team Ziggler scheduled to compete this Sunday at Survivor Series.

WWE's prime physician, Dr. Sampson, "characterized [the injury] as a concussion and a strained shoulder" (via WWE.com).

Because of Rhodes' key involvement in this Sunday's Survivor Series pay-per-view, WWE officials are worried about his status.

As of the publishing of this article, WWE has yet announce Rhodes' status on Team Ziggler

Rhodes’ status for the pay-per-view is now in question. It is not yet known whether Rhodes will be able to compete in the traditional Survivor Series elimination tag team match against Team Foley.

A second WWE.com article has been released listing Rhodes' possible replacements for this Sunday.

In an article published Wednesday, I suggested that the newly repackaged Johnny Curtis—now under the name of Fandango—replace Cody Rhodes. In the end, who replaces Rhodes still remains to be seen.
