Owen Daniels is one of the top fantasy tight ends this season so owners won't like hearing that they need to sit him this weekend. But the Houston Texan star was severely limited at practice on Friday and will be a game-time decision for their Sunday night contest against the Chicago Bears.

The timing of Daniels' game makes it difficult to do anything but sit him. The only game remaining after a decision is made on Daniels is the Monday night contest between the Kansas City Chiefs and Pittsburgh Steelers.

Kubiak commented on Daniels' status via an Associated Press report on Yahoo.com. He said Garrett Graham and James Casey will pick up the extra snaps if Daniels can't play.

He was very limited. He did some of the individual stuff early in practice, took a couple of reps, still very sore. We've got a little extra time, because we play Sunday night, so we'll continue to give him every opportunity to get there.

I know it's very important to him, but we've got a ways to go.

One could sit on Daniels and then grab Tony Moeaki off waivers if needed. He's available in over 99 percent of fantasy leagues, but for good reason.

His fantasy production is just 11 points. That's on the season, with five of those coming in Week 8 vs. the Oakland Raiders.

Daniels is averaging almost 11 points per game. He has five touchdowns on the season to go with 478 yards, making him the No. 2 tight end in standard NFL.com leagues.

The Texans have leaned heavily on their tight end this season. He's second on the team in receptions and yards, while leading the team in touchdown receptions.

From a fantasy perspective he's Houston's top producer among their pass-catchers. Andre Johnson has 562 yards but just two touchdowns on the season.

Graham has played well enough at times and should have some fantasy production if Daniels can't play. He would be a better fantasy start than Moeaki and owners with a flexible roster spot should pick him up.
