Arsenal continue to eek out results, but their struggles this season have not been masked as much as they would hope for them to have been.

There are still more tweaks that are likely to be made in January that could enhance the chances of Arsenal making a strong run for a title push in the second half.

Arsenal had looked ready to send Andrey Arshavin packing in the last few transfer windows, and he seemed ready to be moved on this winter.

However, according to TalkSport, it seems that manager Arsene Wenger once again has some belief in the 29-year-old and he could still yet have a part to play for the Gunners.

After a long road back to health he was not allowed to be loaned out over the summer, but according to the Mirror, he is looking to be sent out this winter to once again seek first-team action.

According to the Mirror, Arsenal's chief scout Steve Rowley watched the youngster over the past weekend as they continue to keep tabs on his development.

According to TalkSport, the Gunners are thought to be preparing a January bid for the Schalke 04 striker, but are believed to be facing competition from both Liverpool and AC Milan for his signature.
