Browns, Lions, Broncos: Rejects Match Made in Heaven and Other Browns Musings

ollie oleCorrespondent IMarch 11, 2009

There are rumours that the tete-a-tete talk between Jay Cutler and wunderkind coach McDaniels has gone "from bad to worse."

I offer you a three-way trade made in heaven for these reject organizations that's a win-win for all concerned.

1. The Lions trade picks No. 20, 33 and a third-rounder (or second round in 2010) to the Broncos for Cutler;

2. Browns trade Brady Quinn and Shaun Rogers to the Broncos;

3. Broncos trade picks No. 12 and 33 to the Browns.

The Lions are happy that they have a franchise QB, whose No. 1 in Jason Smith will protect for the next 10 years.

The Broncos get a franchise QB and the NT in Shaun "Big Baby" Rogers who will slot in nicely into their brand new 3-4 defense.

And for the Browns fans picks No. 5 (Browns own), 12, and 33, Browns get Raji to replace Rogers, Maualuga as the enforcer at ILB they desperately need, and Clay Matthews III to bring old tradition and name back to the Browns!

Further musing for the Browns, Torry Holt and Orlando Pace are out in St Louis. Romeo Crenell brought in stop gap players in Willie McGinest and Ted Washington who he hoped the GM would replace with future stars. That didn't happen !!!

Eric Mangini and Kokonis really need to look at these two players as veteran leadership this Browns team sorely lacks, the type of leadership Joe Jurevicius and Brian Russel provided when they were here in 2007, leading the Browns to a 10-6 season.

Only question is, do the Browns have a coach that players and especially veterans want to play for, like McGinest and Washington chose to play for Romeo?

Where can I comment?
