San Diego Chargers Updated Game-by-Game Outlook After Week 5
Derick E. Hingle-US PRESSWIRE
After a highly frustrating loss in New Orleans, it will be extremely interesting to see how the Bolts respond against Denver before their bye. Here are my predictions. I will admit that I never expect a loss, but I know that 10-6 would be fine to get into the postseason.
Week 6: Denver—W. If they can't rebound, this will feel too much like last season.
Week 8: @Cleveland—W. I will be there, so I really hope I am not there for a loss. It's my third trip (1992 and 2004) to see the Chargers play there.
Week 9—Kansas City. This will be a nationally televised home game, so the Chargers better not come out flat.
Week 10: @Tampa—L. They can't win them all, right?
Week 11: @Denver—W. It's all about those divisional games.
Week 12: Baltimore—L. They did beat them last year, but...
Week 13: Cincinnati—W. Can't have another Norv Turner-led slide, or else he's done. Wait a second...
Week 14: @Pittsburgh—L. Since we haven't beaten them in Pittsburgh since the AFC title game that I was lucky enough to see, I can't expect them too now.
Week 15: Carolina—W. Sorry, Ron Rivera
Week 16: @Jets—W. Another game I'll be attending. Please don't screw it up.
Week 17: Oakland—W. Can't ever pick the Raiders.
In true Charger fashion, they'll win some they are not picked to and maybe drop some they shouldn't. However, the key is the game next week. If they can't rebound after tonight, it could be the beginning of the end.
