Atlanta Falcons vs. Washington Redskins: Live Score, Video and Analysis
Rob Carr/Getty Images
The Washington Redskins welcome the Atlanta Falcons to DC in one of the most exciting matchups for Week 5. Both teams are showcasing impressive talent and will need to limit mistakes in order to come away with a win. At 4-0, the Falcons will look to stay perfect, but Matt Ryan will have his hands full as the Redskins look to build off a last minute win over Tampa Bay.
The Atlanta Falcons are maybe the most well-rounded team outside of the Houston Texans. With a dependable run game, a blossoming quarterback and two legitimate number one receivers, the Falcons offense is sure to have its way with the Redskins defense. The Falcons also carry an impressive defense that is third in the league for interceptions (seven).
On the other side of the field will be the Redskins, led by one of the most dynamic quarterbacks in the NFL. Robert Griffin III has revitalized the Burgundy and Gold, creating the league's third best offense by averaging over 30 points and 420 yards per game. Even without Brent Grimes, the Falcons defense will features an impressive secondary (Robinson, Samuel and DeCoud) that will look to force turnovers.
This game is relatively injury-free for the Falcons as they head into Sunday with only tight end Michael Palmer declared "OUT". All eyes will be on Julio Jones, who has been battling a hand injury that is said to have been responsible for his recent drop in production.
For the Redskins, Cedric Griffin and Brandon Meriweather are out, creating holes in already depleted secondary. Fans needs to keep an eye on Pierre Garcon and Trent Williams, who have both been battling through injuries in order to stay on the field. Both players will be key components if the Redskins hope to come away with a win.
We will be following all the pregame action starting at noon, all the way through the final whistle. Stay tuned for what is sure to be an offensive show-down.

Terrible run blocking by the Redskins. Great penetration by Sean Wetherspoon to get in and stop Morris. Unacceptable for the Redskins to not pick up a short third down.
