Victor Cruz Video: Watch Giants WR's Long TD vs. Bucs

The New York Giants lost their season opener partially because of two huge drops from Victor Cruz

I guess he has moved past them.

It looked like the Giants were headed for another disappointing performance in Week 2 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but Cruz and Eli Manning have awakened.

In case you forgot, Cruz is pretty fast.

Cruz caught this ball in stride and took it to the house; and yes, it's time to dance. For the first time this season, Cruz showed us his signature salsa touchdown celebration.

This long TD catch and run by Cruz drew the game even at 27. It was not only Cruz's first touchdown reception of the day, it was Manning's third touchdown pass. Manning's start was putrid, as he had already thrown three interceptions in the first half.

It surely wasn't just the Manning and Cruz show. Hakeem Nicks had 10 receptions for 199 yards and a touchdown. Of Manning's 31 completions, 21 of them went to his two stud receivers.

Cruz accumulated 11 catches for 179 yards as the Giants eked out a 41-34 win. The Giants always seem to be at their best when their backs are against the wall.

Facing an 0-2 start, Cruz and Manning have stepped up.

While they obviously have some issues on defense this year, Manning, Nicks and Cruz do appear to be on the same page.

The Giants escaped a close call.
