It's disclosure time again. If you are not a fan of spoilers, there is no need to read any further.

Especially if you are looking forward to all that the WWE has in store for this Friday night's SmackDown.

Now that we have that out of the way, time to get down to business.

According to WrestleZone.com, it appears that Alberto Del Rio vs Sheamus at SummerSlam is back on.

The article states:

Following Tuesday's Smackdown taping from Austin, Texas, Sheamus vs. Alberto Del Rio is officially back on. Sheamus yells to GM Booker T at the end of the night to put the match back on for Sunday.

So, let me get this straight. You punish the number one contender by taking him out of the World title picture, then one week later, you reinstate the very match you canceled?

It makes no sense.

Ultimately, you're telling fans that you have no other option for SummerSlam. Don't get me wrong, I am not saying Del Rio isn't worthy; it's just that this "punishment" was nonsense. How can you be outraged enough to cancel a match one week, then the very next week reinstate it? Ultimately, this part of the storyline should have never happened.

This move is insulting to fans and makes Booker's reign as GM look pathetic.

In the end, this just goes to show the lack of depth in the WWE's main-event roster. Yes, they have some huge names, but how many times do we really need to see Randy Orton, Rey Mysterio, The Big Show or John Cena main-eventing for a title?

The WWE appears to be in a transition mode and needs some of their younger talents to step up and take the reigns to avoid storylines like this from happening again.

I guess we will have to wait and see what the future holds for the World title after SummerSlam. Things could get interesting, especially considering that Dolph Ziggler is waiting in the wings to "cash in" his briefcase for the title shot.

Let me know what you think: was this storyline much ado about nothing? Or, will it lead to something bigger at SummerSlam?
