Madden 13 Demo: Robert Griffin III and Redskins Featured in Preview of Game
The demo for Madden 13 will be available on August 14 for Xbox360 and PS3, and the Washington Redskins will be one of four teams that are playable. Yes, that means gamers will get a chance to play with Robert Griffin III from the start.
The demo will show-off some of the alternate uniforms, and also feature pre-game story lines delivered by Jim Nantz and Phil Simms. Check out this video previewing the demo, and the Redskins-Seahawks matchup:
On a scale of 1-10 (with 10 being Martin Grammatica after a field goal and one being Lovie Smith in a press conference), how excited are you about Madden 13?
This figures to be the most popular matchup of the two available. With RG3 receiving gamer-friendly ratings like 93 speed and 95 throwing power per EA Sports, he could be the next great video game quarterback.
Considering his brief—but impressive—preseason debut, that greatness could translate to the field as well.
There has been no mention of whether Simms and Nantz's commentating will be included in-game on the demo. I would assume it won't be, as the announcers genuinely aren't included in most demos. But most every other option seems to be locked and loaded for this verbose preview.
The Infinity Engine, Total-Control Passing, motion-blur visuals and most of the other goodies we've learned about in recent months will be included.
