The Oakland Insider: Anquan Boldin or the House?

Farris GunningCorrespondent IFebruary 25, 2009

Anquan Boldin

Boldin is a strong WR.  He will compliment J-Russ with his ability to catch a short pass and make a huge gain out of it.  He brings the experience that the Raiders need without the drama (Jevon Walker).

On Dec. 7, 2008, in a win against the St. Louis Rams, Boldin became the first player in Arizona Cardinal franchise history to gain 1,000 yards receiving in four consecutive seasons.

Boldin has broken several NFL records. With 101 catches in his rookie year he was the only rookie to get picked for the Pro Bowl. He was the fastest WR to gain 300 catches and holds the NFL record for the most catches in the first 26 games at 157.

Boldin will be a FA this year and the Raiders could use him immediately!

TJ. Houshmandzadeh

The House is a major factor in the WR position.

TJ was a steal by the Bengals in the 2001 Draft, getting him in the seventh round.

His rookie year wasn't stellar by any means except the 126 punt return yards against the Browns. Other than that he gained a mere 228 yards rec on 21 receptions.

TJ is a physical player just like Boldin.  He big and strong at 200 pounds. The House has made a serious impact on the NFL with almost 6000 yards rec in his career.

He's been called one of the NFL's most underrated players by many pundits.

TJ will be a FA this year and the Raiders would love to have him line up for J-Russ to throw to.

Now you make the call. If the Raiders had free pickens on one of these guys, who would it be?
