In a bizarre twist of never-ending reports and trade rumors, it is being reported by David Pingalore, the sports director of CBS-TV's Orlando affiliate WKMG, that Dwight Howard will be heading to the Los Angeles Lakers in the very near future.

According to the report, multiple sources have informed Pingalore that "this past week has been nothing but multiple smoke screens concerning the Dwight Howard drama."

With Houston being the reported favorites by ESPN and other major media outlets, Pingalore suggests this was a decoy to keep people off base. As of Thursday, the Rockets were "in play" for Howard, according to this source, but Pingalore notes that has since changed to Los Angeles' favor.

A great amount of confusion regarding Dwight Howard's destination can be attributed to the fact that, according to Pingalore, the main people leaking these rumors have stemmed from his inner camp rather than the Orlando Magic front office.

According to one of Pingalore's sources, the deal is all but done and "some crossing of T's and dotting of I's is only left."

As Lakers fans continue their nail biting and Ibuprofen doses, things only seem to be getting crazier by the day.

Will Houston be involved in the deal that sends Howard to Los Angeles, or will Andrew Bynum be headed to Orlando? These are all questions waiting to be answered, but in the meantime, Thursday's crushed hopes in Los Angeles have been rejuvenated and restored.

If this in fact comes to fruition, the Lakers will have made the greatest splash this offseason by signing Steve Nash and now Dwight Howard.

Oh, and to add even more hope to this chaotic situation, it was recently tweeted that Dwight Howard was in Los Angeles wearing Lakers gear.

So. Dwight Howard is in LA. In a Lakers snapback. Awwww Sheeeit,U already know !!!!!!…
