The Circus In Dallas
Does Jerry Jones own a circus besides the Dallas Cowboys?
It sure would not surprise me if he did own a traveling circus with bearded ladies, snake-men, and the whole nine yards. Since nine yards is all his football team can gain.
Is there any wonder why he is having trouble finding a quality coach for the Cowboys? No one wants to deal with Jerry Jones and the traveling side show.
Just who is worse to coach for Jerry Jones or Al Davis?
Until Jerry Jones can take off his size 42 big red GM shoes the Cowboys are slowly going to slide into the abyss with the Raiders. Al Davis could not do it and now he is a full fledged clown. It will be interesting to see if Jerry Jones finishes putting on his clown suit.
But let's not forget about the high wire act who spends his off-season collecting NBA all star weekend MVP trophies. Terrell Owens is a legend in his own mind.
Owens is a great receiver—don't get me wrong—he just isn't as good as he thinks he is.
And the other half of the high wire act—Mr. Hollywood—has been strangely silent this off-season. Maybe he has realized that football is more important than being Tony 'Hollywood' Romo.
The Cowboys are one of the best franchises in sports and there history proves it. The release of Pac Man Jones is a start in the right direction. Now if Jerry Jones can leave his shoes in the closet he could land a Bill Cower type coach and continue a great Cowboy history.
The team has enough talent—just not enough character and too many clowns. The big clown needs to take off his GM shoes and take Al Davis with him. Their teams and the game of football will be better off without them.
The traveling circus could be coming to a city near you. Just check the 2009 NFL schedule to see!
