Allen, a free agent this summer, was meeting with the Miami Heat over the past few days as he struggled to decide whether to remain loyal to the Boston Celtics' organization that has helped him achieve greatness or move on and chase more championship rings.

Allen, the NBA's all-time leading three-point scorer, is a fantastic addition to the 2012 champion Miami Heat roster.

With 2006 Finals MVP Dwyane Wade already playing shooting guard, Allen will likely lead the bench unit, providing an answer to Miami's issues with bench production.

Allen could even slot into a lineup featuring Wade, Shane Battier, LeBron James and Chris Bosh, with LeBron acting as a point-forward. A lineup like this would be impossible to defend against, with long-range weapons, LeBron James' explosiveness and Chris Bosh's low-post and mid-range skills.
