Arsenal Transfer Rumours: Why Hugo Lloris Would Be Perfect Fit for Gunners
While many world football fans have been glued to any and all Robin van Persie rumblings, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is still out in the transfer market looking for additions while his star striker decides on his future.
After already addressing the attack by signing Lukas Podolski and Oliver Giroud, another potential signing is French goalkeeper Hugo Lloris.
Using his quick reflexes and solid decision-making, Lloris is one of the world’s best goalkeepers and would be an improvement for most major European clubs.

A top target of Arsenal for the past couple of years, Lloris’ transfer to Arsenal would be a winning situation for all parties involved.
While Polish keeper Wojciech Szczesny is a functional shot-blocker, Lloris would be a considerable upgrade, saving 163 shots in 62 games started last season for Lyon.
After winning four French league titles with Lyon, the 25-year-old keeper has done all that he could accomplish with Lyon and moving on to a big-time club like Arsenal would be a logical move in his career.
Also, Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas yesterday admitted les Gones were looking to sell some of their star players to create available funds.
However, a rumored £16 million offer to Lyon for Lloris was said to have no substance or truth, said the club’s president.
Despite this, according to the French newspaper L’Equipe, an offer for the French keeper is all but imminent.
Another reason why Arsenal would be a reasonable and comfortable fit for Lloris is the amount of French players on the squad.
After recently signing attacker Oliver Giroud, Arsenal has seven French players on its roster, including defenders Laurent Koscielny and Bacary Sagna.
When you consider the wants of Lloris and the needs of Arsenal, this transfer makes perfect sense and I wouldn’t be surprised if it gets done soon.
