Auburn Football: Toomer's Corner Cake Latest in Creative CFB Groom's Cakes
College football fans are busy getting their weddings out of the way this summer so that the schedule is clear for college football this fall.
Luckily for us, that means creative groom's cakes.
Add Auburn to the mix of fanbases with an affinity for creative culinary arts.
An image posted on Twitter by Dawn Davenport of WKRN News 2 in Nashville, Tenn., over the weekend pays homage to Toomer's Corner, the two oak trees at the corner of College St. and Magnolia Ave. in downtown Auburn, Ala., where Tiger fans go to celebrate victories.
The cake is complete with tree limbs, toilet paper on the limbs and ground and grass and leaves on the ground.
The designer gets an A+ for creativity and execution, but the tree limbs don't look like the most appetizing pieces of cake in the world.
Whether it tastes good or not really doesn't matter. The pageantry of college football knows no bounds, and this summer has been especially spirited in the college football baked goods department.
