Wesley Sneijder might not have found the back of the net in his opening match for Euro 2012, but that doesn't mean he isn't capable of an incredible piece of skill every now and then.

In preparations for Holland's opening encounter against Denmark, Sneijder was captured by television cameras with this impeccable backheel finish.

Sure, he might have been showing off a little, but that in no way undermines the quality and sublime touch showed in the finish—which even brought about a smile from the Dutchman.

Sneijder battled several injuries throughout the year, and picked up a similar injury in his side's opening-round shock loss to Denmark—going down 1-0. The severity of the injury is not yet known, but any time spent not on the pitch must be considered a loss for the Dutch.

He is without doubt one of the top midfielders of the tournament and would represent a huge blow to Holland's chances should he be ruled out for any upcoming matches.

Maybe it was all this fancy goal scoring that did it.
