The Ayatollah of Rock-and-Rolla seems set to return to rock 'n' roll, and the WWE should show him some love for his efforts. NoDQ.com's Steve Carrier is reporting the following:

PWInsider reports that Chris Jericho is indeed finishing up with WWE soon so he can go on tour with his band Fozzy. They report that Jericho has stayed for longer than originally planned and this week could be it for him.

If this is indeed true, the WWE should consider giving Jericho the gold in tonight's Fatal Four-Way match for the world heavyweight championship. I previously predicted Randy Orton would win the title, and I stand by that prediction. But in light of this news, I hope things go Jericho's way.

He has come back to further put over CM Punk in a series of promos and pay-per-view matches. Jericho was never given the nod in any of those matches, and this would be a good time to pay him back.

Jericho could always return at some point, possibly even after Fozzy returns from tour. Leaving the WWE on a winning note would allow him to part in a manner that creates a solid angle for his return.

Jericho is money in the bank to the WWE. He is well-respected for his in-ring ability as well as his awesome mic work. He adds great entertainment to every angle he's involved in, and he is one of the most beloved heels of all time.

These are distinctions worthy of recognition, so hopefully he gets it tonight. If Jericho does get the title, the pay-per-view could become even more memorable.
