On May 19, 2012 Bayern Munich will face Chelsea in the Champions League Final.
Will an unheralded player steal the spotlight or will a big name star came through in the clutch?
Will injuries doom one team or will other pieces step up?
Who will score?
These questions will be answered if you just keep an eye out for key players.
It is not really a matter of what Luiz will do on the pitch but what he will do off it. The elite defenseman is struggling with a hamstring injury that could turn into a problem for The Blues
With key players suspended and Gary Cahill also fighting injury, what happens to Luiz is vital for Chelsea.
"On the pitch I am now more comfortable. I am confident, I will be ready. I have one game that will be more special than all the games before and for this I hope to play on Saturday,” Luiz told the Evening Standard.
Today, manager Roberto Di Matteo was given a boon as Luiz took part in a light training session. While this doesn’t mean he will be 100 percent, it does mean that he will ready to try and play.
If Luiz does play it will be interesting to see how he deals with the lingering effects of the injury.
For Bayern Munich to win in the Champions League Final they will need big play from Gomez.
Chelsea will have a limited defense and the forward needs to light up the scoreboard. He is capable of doing just that.
In the German Bundesliga this season he had 26 goals and has come through in the clutch for his club.
No one else on The Reds has even half the number of goals that Gomez has scored. I am no betting man, but if I was allowed a single bet on this match, I would put good money that the 26-year-old will find the back of Chelsea’s net with ease.
Keep your eyes on Gomez as he has a chance to make a big play.
Didier Drogba lives for the big game. He wants nothing more then to score early and often. He has recorded 33 goals in 65 Champions League appearances for the Blues.
Drogba relishes being the hero and has a chance to do that against Bayern. Chelsea will go as far as the Ivorian will take them.
He has the game in his feet and will control the destiny of his team.
He always seems to come up big for Chelsea as shown in the fact that he is the reason why Chelsea is even playing in the Champions League Final.
Against Barcelona in the first leg of the Champions League, Drogba scored in stoppage time to hand Chelsea the 1-0 victory.
He will be able to come up big again.
Never take your eyes off Didier Drogba, unless you enjoy missing big plays.
