Update: May 7 at 5:22 PM
It was a bad injury but this just puts it into perspective. All I can say is that my thoughts and prayers go out to the Davis family and the Knicks community. Scary position to be in.

As the New York Knicks battled back against the Miami Heat in 2012 NBA Playoffs action, point guard Baron Davis went down with a gruesome injury.
The Knicks were down three games to zero and were on the verge of winning Game 4 when the veteran Davis was injured.
In the third quarter, Davis got the ball on a fast break and went down after being called for traveling. There appeared to be contact though, as the MSG crowd chanted "these refs suck.”
The injury looked bad. The reaction from the Heat players said it all. They were disgusted and had to look away from Davis’ knee.
These are guys who have played basketball for quite some time and even they were frightened by the look of the injury.
Jeremy Lin, who is also recovering from a knee injury, looked helplessly on as there was nothing he could do to help his team win.
Knicks NBA Insider Al Iannazzone reported via Twitter:
"Baron Davis just crumbled to the ground. They're bringing out the stretch for him. Right knee injury.
— Al Iannazzone (@Al_Iannazzone) May 6, 2012"
Davis was stretchered off the court to a standing ovation. This was a particularly ugly injury and the chances of Davis returning anytime soon are most likely slim to none.
Stay tuned for more updates on this injury.
