Brock Lesnar: Former UFC Champion's WWE Return Will Mirror Chris Jericho's
When Brock Lesnar made his surprise to the WWE after WrestleMania 28, every wrestling fan in the world thought he would go on a tear and be an absolute monster.
Instead, Lesnar’s return will mirror the mediocre reemergence of Chris Jericho.
If Extreme Rules taught us anything, it’s that while the WWE may be bringing back stars to help get current stars over, they aren’t afraid to let them lose. While it’s true that The Rock went over at WrestleMania, The Rock as a brand is much larger than Brock or Jericho.

Even with that said, Lesnar is a huge name and losing to Cena makes him look weaker than he already did. To be honest, maybe that’s what WWE’s plan has been all along.
Vince McMahon is a shrewd businessman and he knows what Lesnar’s return means to the company, but he also knows the UFC star’s history. Lesnar screwed over the WWE in the past, and Vinny Mac remembers that clear as day.
Just like Jericho’s plan to win the Royal Rumble, WWE has promised the world and changed things at the last minute almost as a way of not allowing them to look as strong as they could.
Honestly, if the WWE did help Cena with his promos against The Rock, that means they even did it to the people’s champ. That’s wrestling blasphemy!
The WWE is being far more lenient with how much they force their veteran guys to work during the year, but they are almost punishing them for not being there on a regular basis.
Lesnar is no different.
While he was told that the company would make him a focal point and he would be made to look like this monster, the WWE has already managed to prove to him that no one man is bigger than the company.
Officials knew that the one-year contract could very well be the last the two parties ever sign, so the WWE had a plan of attack for this. Brock could walk out after WrestleMania 29 and show up on TNA if he wanted, so the WWE will not allow him to run roughshod through the company.
At the core of this, Lesnar will be back in the company to put people over. Just like Y2J has spent his whole return putting stars over, Lesnar will be viewed as a wrecking machine that losses on the big stage.
While Lesnar may beat Triple H in his next feud, that’s only because they know Triple H doesn’t need the rub. If Lesnar faces CM Punk, Randy Orton or another younger star, you better believe the WWE won’t let him win.
Lesnar will bring the pain, but only when WWE says it’s OK.
